I have taught child development and parenting courses at the college level for 30 years.
I am an experienced Parenting Educator certified in a variety of parenting programs including, Active Parenting, Positive Discipline, Parent Project, and Nurturing Parenting.
I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and earned my Master’s Degree in Education, with
an emphasis in Early Childhood Studies. Before teaching the adult learner, I was a toddler and preschool teacher at Bing Nursery School, a research and teaching school at Stanford University. In addition to my full-time teaching role at Cuesta College in the Child Development and Family Studies Department, I facilitate workshops on adverse childhood experiences for parents and educators and provide parenting consultations (specializing in birth to eight), using a parenting journal that I authored. I currently live in San Luis Obispo, California, where my husband and I have had the good fortune to raise two boys.
